This morning I ditched my morning training. I don't think my trainer was very impressed, but I'll find out for sure on Monday (because I didn't want to call him back).
Instead, I slept in and then went to the beach. I met up with sparticle, my new friend "snaz" (not a member) and a friend of hers at the Serious Coffee on Yates 'n Broad. We then left there and went down to Mile 0 to chill near the ocean for a little bit. Unfortunately, Snaz and Co couldn't hang out very late, so eventually sparticle and I went out to Thetis to meet up with some other friends of mine.
I spent the afternoon swimming and sun bathing. It was scrumtrahlescent.
After that we went to Lotus Pond for dinner (delicious!) before I came home to read for a few hours.
And then this evening there was a going away party/birthday party for an old friend of mine. I was hesitant about it at first, but it ended up being a lot of fun, and the people were all super cool. I didn't feel awkard at all. Of course, my friend (who's going away) ended up too drunk, so I left early to go to Lucky for a wonderful Solid Saturday.
I caught a cab with "leaving friends older brother", who was pretty fun, albeit a little drunk himself. We exchanged numbers, and hopefully we'll go out for a drink at "the Mint" sometime. That's what we talked about doing anyways...
And then, at Lucky, I managed to see my awesome hair dresser. She is the coolest girl in the world, and the only person I will ever trust to cutting my hair again (so long as she's got her shop running). We danced like crazy, as always. I also saw this polish girl that I used to have a crush on. She's friends with this really cool boy, and she's probably one of the only people that knows my secret. (One of many, of course... but that I can't dance with another person worth shit. We tried to dance once and I think I actually hurt her somehow...)
Wow, this is getting long. Just a little more...
A little Hipples History: I quite often have a ridiculous sense of humor. When I used to live in Kamloops, there was this little breakfast place called "Hello Toast". It was basically like a cafe that specialized in different styles of toast-like breakfast. One day I was having breakfast there, and I started laughing so hard when I saw that they called French toast, "bonjour toast".
I thought it was clever.
I'm out like a trout in a drought!
