Listening to: All my favorite songs that I haven't listened to in a long long time... (some cursive, some death cab, some junior boys... it goes on...)
So I have a few names, and a few application forms ready. All I have to do now is type up some cover letters, and get a few resumes printed off. I have an old friend in town that works at a print shop, so I know I can rely on him for my printing needs (if not for free, for a very cheap price).
I went to say hi to the girl. It was awkward. Last night wasn't the first night I've met her (she's been my friend for a little while now). She just broke up with her boyfriend though, and she was drunk. Last night was officially a "one nighter", and it probably shouldn't have happened. (It wasn't bad that it did, but I should have been more responsible I think. These things always land on me and my sobriety...)
I left my glasses at her house this morning too. When I went to get them tonight, she invited me in to watch "Spirited Away" with her roommate. As much as I love the movie (one of my favorites!), I declined the offer. I felt a little awkward still, even more so with her roommate there. Besides, I rented a few movies of my own, and this is a good night for me to be alone...
Hipples History: When I was little I had piano lessons for one year. After that year I lost interest in playing piano (it wasn't very boy-ish either) and quit. Anytime I asked for anything that cost any ammount (extra-curricular sort of activity, like when I tried to join a baseball league) they denied me. "You had piano lessons." My parents couldn't afford to invest money in me when I was as likely to quit again. (We rarely had extra money anyways, so I don't blame them for it...)
And while I'm being nostalgic... *this* is the product of the night I first met Malloreigh. While I knew about the site before meeting her, she was my first contact with *anyone* affiliated. She is awesome and listens to good music too. [/malloreigh plug] Anyways, I wanted to post that picture since I still think it's kind of cool, even nine months after the fact. (And yes, the blur in the middle is Emily mid-jump...)
Okay, I'm going to go watch another movie now. I'm out like a trout! (It's not catching on like I had hoped, but I think I'll have to be persistant with this one.)
