What a weekend!
I spent most of Friday morning getting my apartment ready for company and preparing myself for my interview with Public Outreach. The interview was in the afternoon, and I think it went really well for me. I didn't have trouble with most of their questions, and it sounded like they really liked my attitude. My phone will ring tomorrow if they decide they like...
It would be nice to get the job though. It pays better than the restaurant used to pay me, and I'll be able to work hours that actually work for me. Plus, I get to stand outside all day and just talk to people about some positive organizations. It can't be too bad!
I got fired this weekend. Granted, I quit already, so it's not a big deal. Because angelvanilla and Lavinia were staying with me all weekend, I called in sick on Friday and Saturday evening. I wanted the time away from work so that I could just enjoy their company and try to be accomodating as well. Anyways, work wasn't happy with me for calling in and I got fired for it.
Meh. I wanted out and gave notice anyways, so this is a good opportunity for me.
It did make for an awkward situation on Saturday morning though. My boss (current sous chef and friend of mine) has started to come to the financial training that I attend. He saw me between the two shifts that I called in for. That's probably why I was fired...
Oh well, it was an awesome weekend in general. I'm so glad that angelvanilla and Lavinia decided to stay at my place... I think we all had a lot of fun. Friday night we saw The Raygun play at Lucky, and then we had our Victoria "Rebar/Lucky Social" on Saturday. I danced so much this weekend that my legs hurt. (Lavinia takes the prize for best dancer though; she was out there even more than I was!) It was so much fun! Unfortunately not too many people came out for the event, so no marks for effort! (There's always next time...)
I should get to bed. Don't want to be completely lazy now that I'm out of a job... I'm out like a trout!

I am coming back to Victoria for the Fringe Festival.
For my 20th birthday, my boyfriend and I were going to Chicago to meet up with all of my friends from University (who live in Nashville, Tennessee when school's not in session) to see a huge music festival. Hurricane Dennis caused such inclimate weather (read: it was like driving through the biggest waterfall ever) that there was an 8 car pile-up in front of us. In order to avoid the accident, Brady (the boyfriend) put on the brakes but ended up hydroplaning off the road, into the median, and into the back of a van. At least now I wll always remember what I was doing on my last day of being a teeanger
We'll find out later this week if the car is actually totalled. If it is, I'm buying a Vespa and never going out in the rain ever again!
