Listening to: Ted Leo and the Pharmacists (random songs) (or during my silence here... the sound of a guitar riff from the apartment below me...)
I got a phone call from Public Outreach today. Looks like they want me to come in for an interview. I haven't set up an appointment yet, but things are looking good for me so far!
As far as other job opportunities... well I have some friends in other restaurants through out the city now too, and everybody that I've asked has said they'd put in good words for me at their respective business places if I am in need of a job. (Ah yes, the power of networking!)
I talked to Colin (current night-sous) tonight about the fact that I was inevitably quitting soon. It seems that he's going to be pretty upset with me if I walk out on them. I don't blame him of course, because if I do such a thing it's going to put a lot of work on him until they can replace me properly.
Anyways, I told him that there was no way I was going to close the restaurant tomorrow night. He seemed pre-occupied most of the night, and I think he was a little worried about how he's supposed to deal with me. He came to Hugo's though, just to spend most of his time by himself sitting at the table. I'm going to feel bad if I do screw him over. However, as he was leaving he told me that possibly I could work his transition tomorrow so that he could close for me instead. If such a trade is acceptable, then I'll do it for sure!
Now... how am I going to deal with Friday night?
Oh, I watched most of Traffic today between my splits. (I got distracted last night by the Internet) It was a longer movie than I had expected, and unfortunately I had to go back to work before it was over. I like it so far though. I think once I'm finished writing this, i'm going to go watch the last little bit before I go to bed.
And, as mentioned, I ended up at Hugo's tonight (like I had planned). It was a lot of fun, but I can definitely see the need to move this weekly to a new location. There are a lot of people there every week that I wish would just go away (the Legend Bar Star sluts, as Malloreigh so elegantly put it). And in the same sense, there are a lot of people that used to be there that I wish would come back. I think moving things over to Lucky was a good idea. (I'm going to mourn the loss of Hang the DJ though... so long to thursday nights out...).
Okay... it's getting late. I'm out like a trout! (Umm... it could be cool if everyone started using that phrase!)

Did I mention that I liked your new photos?
Gotta go, out like a trout, yo! (we'll get everyone going with that phrase, just watch!)
