I bought my first house this fall and I felt like I had completely ruined my life. My advice is, if you don't NEED to buy a house, don't. Everyone tells me how great it is that I "own" a house. And everyone kept saying, "Oh, you must be so excited!" I actually spent a month on the verge of suicide. Yes, I'm getting used to it and I keep thinking I'm going accept it eventually, but renting an apartment was A LOT easier and worry free. The only upside is that I have a garage for my car that I baby the heck out of. I'm sorry if I sound like the hand of doom, but I wish someone would have talked to me like this instead of blowing sunshine up my butt.
So if you buy it, the best of luck. I hope you love it! If you don't, then don't worry about it.
