One SG (with a wishlist) has suggested that buying someone something on their wishlist is inappropriate.

Really a bizarre interpretation of such a nice gesture, of little serious consequence (who can be bought for a $15 amazon book -- it's just being nice, particularly if it comes from someone established in life).

oh well. People make all sorts of assumptions, and assertions, without having any idea about who they are dealing with, or the tone with which a comment was intended (on the internet). eeek frown confused shocked

It's not inapprppriate - it's just that we are not allowed to "solicit?" gifts form our wishlist... we can thank you kindly for them once they have been purchased - but we really can't discuss any thing before that. That's my understanding anyway - and there are some very strict rules in place concerning "wish lists" and "gifts" smile love

it is so true. people do make all sorts of assumptions. it's the best we can do. we grasp at a full idea of a person when all we have to build it with are words and pictures. and sometimes the exchange of money.
