So I have been talking a lot and not really posting any pretty pictures so...
working in the lab, getting through hundreds of DNA extractions
Went on A&M's campus tour and learned about their rather quirky traditions
Going through lots of training so that I could work in a BL2 Lab
Being forced my friends to go out to a shitty country music bar
going out to the field and finding "the love cactus"
trapping small mammals for tick born diseases and chagas
doing dissections in a very cold lab. Lots of PPE to prevent me from getting first hand knowledge of what it's like to have a T. cruzi parasitic infection.
