I MADE IT!! I am in college station after a epic stream of bad luck (hope it has run out by now)
1)started packing up the car and Ben noticed that I had a very low tire
2) for some epically stupid reason I put both my itouch and my phone on top of my car when I was filling the tire with air at the gas-station then drove off with them still up there.
3) go to the grocery and buy food for the drive to Seattle (5hrs) realized that I had left my itouch on top of my car so I ran out of the store and didn't realize that neither Ben or I had picked up the food I just bought.
4) raced back to the place where I filled up my tire and scoured the ground from there all the way back to the grocery.
5) Ben decided he was going to give me his old phone so that I wouldn't have to be on a trip with out my phone. We go to the verison store and they can't help me because I don't know the password that allows one to switch numbers from one phone to another. I can't get my upgrade because my father used it when he put his phone on top of his car!
6) drive to seattle with none of the 13 books on tape I down loaded to listen to on the drive and every single one of my CDs is scratches.
7) Get to the airport on time but when I opt for the pat down the chemical detection alarm goes off and I have to get the full "private" screening.
8) don't get any sleep on the first flight
9)flight from Dallas needed repairs so we left late
9)finally made it to my destination and one of my bags didn't show. Got lost somewhere between LA and Dallas.
the other side of the story
1) I had my amazing bf with me to tell me that my tire was flat
2) I didn't lose my phone and I touch where there was no one to help
3) Ben's mother had a phone that was still connected but they never use for me to borrow while I'm in TX.
4) the drive was mostly uneventful except for when I found an adorable note from Ben that made me feel SO much better.
5) got to seattle in time to have a good conversation with my x and get a shower in before the very long flight series
6) made it to my gate on time and got a free coffee from starbucks
7)sat next to a medical intern that just finished medschool. so we got to talk science the entire flight
8) made it through LA with time to spare
9) The prof I'm going to be working for is awesome and has and awesome wife
10) the dormitory I'm staying in is pretty nice with a gym, free wifi and a huge pool
11) My roommate seems really nice and will be working in the lab with me
all in all I get to take the good with the bad,,,And I can't say how awesome it was to have people jump to my aide when bad luck struck. Ben, a couple of my friends, and my X are all dear hearts that I probably would have had a panic attack with out.

Glad you made it despite all the obstacles life through at ya. Definitely hit up the chicken and Freebirds (the one across from north gate was my favorite). Gig'em !!!! :-)
