Looks like I'm going to be applying to volunteer at the local correctional centers clinic or educational program.
Seems like a really good place to volunteer, gain experience and help some people out when they need it the most. Apparently it also counts as employment without pay, so it keeps the large gaps out of my employment history. I think both the clinic and the education program are places that incarcerated peoples can feel like "normal" people, not just numbers. Have any of you been incarcerated? what do you think of these programs and me volunteering in them?

Give it a try. You will find it very educational.

Take care. I would venture to say that most of the people in prison are not repeat offenders but at the same time there's some crazies.
