My submission to NCUR was not accepted.
the letter says that "The abstract does not make clear the research question. Is the researcher trying to demonstrate that other scholars have not considered pederasty in the lives of greek soldiers? The methodology is not clearly stated."
so it seems that it was a lack in my abstract writing skills not in my topic. Which really isn't a surprise because it was my first time writing an abstract and my proffs half ass looked over it. Oh well, I'll submit something next year and be more ready for it.
thanks for all your support guys.

I went back and skimmed it and wanted to express interest in the topic. Is this part of an undergraduate degree...or...?

It was a research paper that I wrote for a LGBT studies class. The proff said that she thought it was good enough to submit to NCUR. The NCUR people never saw the paper, only the abstract. It was my first time writing an abstract so I didn't do a very good job and I think it was rejected because of that.
