The problem with a small town is that there's no crowd to blend in with. And the stupid people who make it seem like society is coming to an end? You can't ignore them in small town. Hell, you probably have no choice but to deal with them in some way, whether you want to or not. I spent most of my life in a very large city, and the past ten in a small town. The small town was so nice the first few years, but the tedium is killing me. I'd love to be caught up in a crowd of nameless, faceless morons in the city, rather than being stuck talking to the same morons day after day.
