WOW !!! What a weekend, Went to London on Friday & Saturday, my lovely husband had booked us a hotel room so we could stay up in the Big Smoke and have a few beers etc. Friday we went to St Pauls Cathedral which is quite breath taking inside, the architecture is beautiful. I made it up to the Whispering Gallery but my fear of heights got the better of me and I had to back track down the 200 steps !! Hubby went all the way (as usual ) and went to the top. We did the tour and went to the Crypt and saw Nelson's tomb (as opposed to his column).
We then went and did some shopping, to Gerry's for some rum , and then found a great little Italian Restaurant for dinner. A few bottles of wine later we progressed to Trader Vics for cocktails, then walked back to our hotel via Buckingham Palace and the Houses of Parliament - They are Soooooo pretty at night.
Saturday was another tourist filled day. First to Westminster Abbey to look at all the tombs and graves (Darwin, Chaucer, Dickens, Issac Newton, Mary Queen of Scots, Elizabeth I, Edward the confessor) God I love looking at tombs!!! Then onto Potobello Road Market for a stroll around all the great stuff.
Woke up Sunday morning and struggled to move my legs .. I Guess I'm just not used to the amount of walking we did ! I have spent the last few days chillin out and reading, feels so good to totally relax on holiday
