Stars Concert
I just got back from seeing Stars (my favorite band!) at The Fillmore. All I can say is it was amazing. I met Jenny and her friend John there and we slowly made our way closer to the stage. The Elected opened for Stars, which was cool because their lead singer is Blake Sennett from Rilo Kiley, another of my favorite bands. John and I were singing along with most of the songs. We had a pretty good duet going for a while. Towards the end of the concert, Stars thanked everyone and left the stage, but of course only to return for the encore. I really wanted them to play "Elevator Love Letter," and they hadn't yet, so Jenny and I counted to three and yelled the title of the song at Torquil and Amy, the two singers, who were maybe five feet away. And what do you know, they played it. I was so happy.
As we were leaving we tried to get everyone to sing "Bohemian Rhapsody," but it didn't catch on. They were handing out posters of the performance, so I got one and it is now sitting in my room. Afterwards we stopped by Jenny's friend Bobby Lee's apartment and chatted about really weird things. Then we departed, rather satisfied with the evening. All in all, it was an awesome concert and a most memorable experience.
