Today i saw a girl walking in the opposite direction.
I smiled and she smiled.
she said "howdy." (quite boldly, i might add)
i said "Haeee"
wtf is Haee? Am i Jerry Lewis? I think what went through my head was "heya" and "Hi" and "Hey", and i tried to say them all at the same time.
What a nerd.
I did, however, get to see a very old friend of mine who i hadnt seen in awhile. We talked while waiting for the bus, and thankfully, it didnt show up for another 30 minutes. We caught up, asked eachother our plans post graduating, the usual. She's thinking of going to CO for a year and just working on a ranch and/or being a ski instuctor, if she isnt accepted into the vet programs she's applied to. we also talked about a friend of hers who just up and moved to Australia after getting his degree in Computer science. He worked at a McDonalds for a few weeks and lived in a rat-hole, while scubadiving and rock climbing in his free time. then he put in a resume to something similar to monster.com, and now he's making good money doing something with computers in australia.
And that is so fucking fascinating to a guy who's lived a pretty sheltered life, and it re-enforces my desire/wish/plan/goal/idea of going overseas after i graduate.
Places i think i'd love to go: Japan, Iceland, Bulgaria, Spain, Ireland, Scotland, Wales.
Or, maybe i just need to travel around the states, which i could do with Teach for America.
ideas ideas ideas.
I need another life after this one is over, there's too much to do, too many ways to live in this beautiful world.
