Today is fucking beautiful. 71F, 5 mph wind, a good amount of clouds, the smell of rain, Low Humidity, Holy Geez it's enough to make a person get off.
For awhile now i've been mulling over the idea of rolling my own cigarettes. The only time i've ever smoked anything was when i was 15-16 and JonAlcoholic had some Monte Cristo's. (cubans) We were smart and inhaled.
Now, my entire mom's side of the family, save for my mother, are or were huge smokers. My mom's mom smoked until she died of breast cancer when she was 60 something (She was a hardass though). My worry is that, like alcoholism, smoking could run in half of my family, and if i pick it up i could really like it. Then i'd always be dropping money on cigs and always be smelling like shit and my teeth/eyes/nails would turn yellow and my skin would get nasty and my body would say "hey fucker stop that shit", and i dont want my body to say that.
On the other hand, life is about experiences and i shouldnt have to repress the urge to find out what smoking is really like because i'm too inhibited to do so. Also, i've always loved seeing my breath in the winter, and you just can't make smoke rings with simple condensation.
Thus, i believe i will give this smoking thing a go, but on my own terms: I'll buy the tobacco and paper and roll it myself.
And yes, i realize i sound like a total lamer in writing all this shit down just about smoking, but it is a big deal for me because of the environment i grew up in.
here is a good history on the Origin of smoking tobacco. I like to research anything before i start doin it.
And Here you can articles dating over a year ago that have been in the news paper relating to Roll-your-own cigs.
I'm such a fucking nerd. ^_^
hope everyone is having a great day.

But, IMO, if you're gonna smoke, don't fuck around with the dirtsticks, smoke somethin green.
Seriously, it's not healthy to inhale any kind of smoke into your lungs, but at least when you smoke the ganj, you get something out of it (besides carcinogens). And instead of giving all your cash to the evil tobacco companies, you help fund the black market, and everyone loves the black market.
I can tell you all about the positive and negative effects (yes, there are negative effects too) of using delta 9 tetrahydrocannibinol, as I've been doing years of firsthand research on the subject. I used to smoke cigs, too, but I quit when I realized biting my fingernails was a cheaper nervous habit.
But, hey, it's your body, do what thou wilt, bruddah.
