hmm... i don't think i'm freegan as i understand the word (someone who doesn't eat any animal products unless they are free/going to waste?), but i am vegetarian and i sure do get a kick out of digging through the trash for free stuff! especially food. there is so much that goes to waste that could please my unemployed belly!
