This weekend broke the monotonous trend that my weekends have been for far too long. For starters I only worked one double shift instead of 2-3. It was great. I went out the the Buzz Bar in Greektown with my friend Stephanie and we bumped into Sam and Rob whom I haven't seen in ages. Seeing as we didnt get there until at least 12:30 we hurried to catch up. Unfortunately for my recient drinking practices being near nothing, I quickly learned that I've become a light-weight. Non the less, I loosened up and releived some stress. Not to mention, introduced myself to the owner, Adam, whom seemed more than accomodating to the idea of letting me shoot in his bar. From there, we headed over to Oslo, where everything gets really foggy. All I know is Svetlana (Stephanie) and I got down and dirty on the dance floor.....and the sink of the girls bathroom...if i remember correctly. Im not sure but i think it was near 5 am by the time we got back to her house and were passed out. Luckily I didn't work until 3:30 the following day. And a good day it was....aside from the cigarette hangover. I worked a single shift and made just as much if not more than i normally have been on a double. Fuck yeah! Only to get out of working my sunday morning shift and spend half of that money by today. But more good news concluded the weekend last night with the Tigers game 2 win over the cardinals tieing the series 1-1. GO TIGERS! My prediction is that were hot right now, and were gonna win game 3 in St. Louis. But there gonna come back fighting and take game 4. But when we see that we let that one slip by we come back to win game 5 and finally game 6 back here in Detroit next saturday. Lucky for Matt and I, we took off saturday and sunday over a month ago because we were going to have a halloween party that has now been canceled. If it comes down to game 6 being a possible series winner, we might try to get tickets. However, either way we got the night off to watch the game, get drunk, and enjoy daylights saving extra bar hour! Woo gotta love the timing on that one! oooh, almost forgot. Matt got me the new Ipod nano for sweetest day. I was so excited. My poor ass has never had a mp3 player yet....let alone the best name brand. It was one of the nicest things ever, and by far the best sweetest day present. Damn good for a fake holiday! I used it while I worked in the photo lab for my photography class.....time just flew by. I've fallen a bit behind due to the shitty weather conditions as of late. Yet the photography gods must be shining down bc my photoshop teacher tells me its supposed to be sunny all day tomorrow and is letting me skip out on his class to catch up in my photo class. Brian you are a savior. I got two assignments done and printed today and now i just need to go out and shoot 2 more assignments tomorrow. And then I'll be done with all outdoor assignments for the semester. YAY! I'm even more excited now to learn about indoor photography and lighting. Especially as a SG hopeful I've been reading up on how to produce good lighting and photos on my own since I dont have an official SG photograher near by. I must admit I'm just as stoked and interested in photographing as I am modeling right now. I feel that I've understood everything that I've been reading. And i feel that I can set up quality lighting for a reasonable price. And I know I have a sharp eye. I think sometimes this can be my problem. I cant just focus on one task. I always want to be part of everything. I guess I'll just have to wait to see what comes of it.
