Deviate from... everything.

It seems lately that I don't fit in anywhere, everything seems foreign, despite the perpetual progression of time that seems to make each day the same.

Motivation and happiness seem to be things only whispered in the wind.

Mental acuity is lost in self degradation.

Damn I need to get out of this funk.

Mindless... It's been quite a time since I've blogged anything, I'm not sure where to start.

Foremost... Frustration of the existential level. A bit ago I re-joined the single world, rather unexpectedly. My first real long distance relationship was apparently an utter failure, despite the fact that thought it was rather healthy. I always thought "WTF?" moments were supposed to be more ironic and funny....

Who we are will never change, brother. In that I can claim pride. It's who we are that makes us awesome even when the dark clouds ominously follow overhead. It doesn't mean we can't spark a few ideas in the minds of those who wish we were something different than we are and maybe get them to open up to what's right there. I plan on doing just that... even if no one listens, at least some may hear me. That's all it takes to start, a few words and some ears to at least hear the words spoken. After that it's anybody's guess, but at least something started. At least a kindle was dropped before a possible fire can start.

And yes, it's about time to rep some Soilwork to clear my head and get out a little intensity that need be released before I possibly explode.

I've had a fairly shit last few days. They say everything comes in threes (bad or good), but damn if I don't feel like I've had a long run of the bad.

Work this week has been extra hellish, going from boring to problematic at the drop of a hat. Predictable as manufacturing may seem, the unexpected is still fairly prevalent.

Yeah, I've dug some of the Scar Symmetry I've been introduced to in the past. I'm kind of picky when it comes to my... I guess, metal (to attempt to generalize the different styles), but SS has definitely had some play time. Probably the biggest bands for me have been Soilwork, Terror 2000, The Haunted, In Flames, Dimmu Borgir, At the Gates... uhhmm...there are a few others I've acquired a taste for that I can't think of off the top of my head, too. Actually I've got a decent collection of stuff that seems to collect more dust than necessary with my lack of time to truly listen to the stuff. Sad... very sad.

As you can tell my musical taste is all over the place from hip hop to black metal to even country and whatever else fits between. smile

We'll definitely need to hang out more next time we're in the same vicinity. Talk more horror, music, etc. You should definitely keep in mind Cinema Wasteland and Horror Hound if you need to get out and check some cool times and great parties. If you decide to show up to either in the future hit me up... I'm always around as I do Staff/Security for both.

Summer is here! Herro heat.

Spent the weekend in Alton, IL, which is rather close to St. Louis.

Highlight of the time was Sunday in Six Flags! Primarily the fuckin BATMAN ROLLERCOASTER!! Yea, that's right. biggrinbiggrin



I highly recommend it, even if you aren't the B-man obsessed like myself and a few others I know. wink It's quite an entertaining place to say the least.
