i just got home from one of the drunkenest weekends i've had in a long time. friday was your run of the mill night at the bar and last night was my best friend's birthday party, which was hilariously fun except for one thing. we were playing this hypothetical game, with all these cards that said would you rather do this horrible thing or this other one. so it was rather entertaining until someone read a card that said, on your wedding night, would you rather find out that the person you'd just married has herpes or a wooden leg? and all these girls in unison go "wooden leg!" and start laughing. and i felt like shit... i just said to them, well its really not that bad to have herpes, i mean, if youre already married then who even cares. they were like, oh i guess. grrrr. it really fucking upset me and this happened when i was like 6 beers into the night so everything was all magnified, ya know? grr.

haha, thats a funny story!! sometimes those statistics can be frighteningly accurate i guess. last night i came thissss close to turning around to those girls and saying, listen i have herpes and its really not a big deal. because really its not.. i had my one initial outbreak and i've been doing valtrex suppressive ever since (i insisted that i do suppressive even tho my doc said it wasn't necessary) and no problems... but really its my business and i really didn't feel like announcing it to the whole party- i'm not the type of person to blurt out some private info in order to make a point. and like, the friends who do know about it came up to me later and were like, oh my god i'm so sorry that that happened. whatever. my feelings were hurt but the truth is until recently, i had much different opinion on herpes and the types of people who had it. haha, don't you love proving yourself wrong sometimes?

It snowed last night. There is snow all over now. I like it. I had lived in Florida so long before, and last year I missed most of winter... I can not wait to go snowboarding! Sure would be nice to have someone to curl up on the couch with cuz its chilly...
