Update time again I guess.
Saturday I ended up going up to Leicester Space Centre to help out a friend with some Star Wars at a local collector/fan convention there. Dealing with the kids was rather taxing (and reminded me why some people should *never* be allowed to spawn) but I was promised free stuff for the favour (and the PR girl hired to help was rather cute).
Sunday joined a few mates in Watford to catch up, drink beer and play cards (V:TES). And a reasonable pub roast for 6.95. Vowed to get an early night after the long day Saturday but kinda failed faffing about after I got home. Paid for it yesterday as I could barely think straight and screwed up a bunch of stuff for work as a result, tsk.
Also found time to watch The Forsaken, a straight-to-DVD vampire film starring two of the guys from Final Destination. Kind of a low-budget road movie, which actually turned out to be surprisingly watchable, if not particular innovative. And also Casshern, which I'd been intrigued by after hearing it namechecked a lot. Very, very pretty, but verging on the incomprehensible as far as the story goes. Was disappointed to find no Deadwood on Sunday, but then it was on last night instead, so yay.
Not much else to report really. Been thinking about more DIY but as it requires effort and I think it can wait until at least September. Besides, I need to work out whether I can remortgage and free up more significant first as this will dictate what kind of DIY I end up doing. Also 2/5 through my first short story and have a lot more lined up to follow. Argh so much to do and so little time...
