Well I was originally going post some kind of panicky entry yesterday seeking sympathy etc. for the disappearance of my little kitty Lucita. I reached my wits end in the wee hours of Saturday & early Sunday wondering where she'd gone. Hysterics were narrowly averted however by (finally) spotting Luci in my next-door neighbour's window. Turns out the little old lady had gone away and locked her in without realising it. Luckily said neighbour used to have a cat flap from when she used to have a pet of her own, and although it was locked, I managed to prise it open to retrieve poor Luci with some considerable relief *phew*
Apols go to fpkk who came over to enjoy the merits of the new Battlestar Galactica, as I couldn't give him my full attention due to my cat-seeking antics. Thankfully he treated such antics with aplomb, and with cat found Sunday morning we could settle back to enjoy the last few episodes. Gripping stuff and surprisingly serious, even bleak. If you didn't catch it on Sky when it aired, you really should check it out ASAP (it's also currently in Virgin's sale).
Also yesterday I went into town to go see Fanastic Four and The Descent. The former was not quite as disappointing as I'd expected, but it wasn't great - the actors did their best with the material given to them, but basically that material mostly sucked. DVD popcorn fodder, but not worth going out of your way for. The latter film in contrast was a lean indie horror and a more than equaly rival to the director's previous effort Dog Soldiers. Very claustrophobic, full of scares and surprises, I was on the edge of my seat for most of it. Marvellous stuff, if it's your kinda thing!
Not much else to report. Starting to develop more of a rhythm with the writing but still very little to show for it really. Coming up in August I have a trip to France to see my dad, and a family wedding oop north. Will be counting the pennies this week, but hopefully will show my face on Saturday...

Glad to hear kitty crisis was averted, lucky thing you found her. Battlestar Galactica was too pricey in HMV, and there's no Virgin near me anymore so I'm just gonna pick it up on Amazon
