Ha so yesterday I went to see Star Wars III a second time (Thursday was the first). I am so glad it wasn't s***. Not that it's brilliant, but I was so expecting the worst, and I so wanted the best I guess I can live with it falling somewhere in between. I won't post any spoilers but I will say that everyone should go and see it at least once. Not that everyone doesn't know already exactly what's going to happen. If anything that's the movie's weakness - so much crammed in that it doesn't ever pause for breath, and no real surprises or twists whatsoever. I was right though, Serenity was better and goddamn I can't wait until it comes out later this year so you can all bask in it's glory!
Also popped out for a few bevvys with the SGUK crowd London-ways on Friday. Loveley to see everyone, even if (yet again) I didn't get a chance to chat to everyone properly. Hopefully see everyone next at the Kerrapp! do in Kings X on June 4th?
In other news despite my lame-o housemate insisting that he wanted to stay until the end of the month I still haven't seen him at all. Very strange. Mind you, as long as he coughs up his last rent installment I really couldn't give a rat's ass either way.
BTW must make a quick plug for The Shield. I has previously written it off as Another Boring Cop Show but fpkk has made me see the light. Superbly cast and written, it's an excellent character drama painted with shades of gray. Spent the last fortnight watching season 1 and will be on to season 2 ASAP.
This weekend coming I will be hanging out with my folks for some pre-birthday tourist action in town, then some experimental wargaming with some old friends south of the river, followed by a day sorting out my garden so that when the summer *really* kicks in I can host a BBQ or two...
