Well that's definitely the most hardcore weekend I've had in a *long* time.
Friday i joined various people in Camden to help celebrate Kirsty's birthday. Much drinking, moshing and leaping about and utterly f***ing my neck up. Very loud. Very fun (except for the long journey home afterwards).
After only 4 hours sleep I got up Saturday to head to Wantage (not Northampton) for an old pal's wedding. Much more drinking, eating, and a few cigars, and not crashing again until the late hours of the morning. Much humour involving a large pile of cheese, and one of the guys forgetting his hotel key and sleeping in the lobby instead.
Sunday dragged myself out of bed just in time for a much-needed fried breakfast, and then shambled about like a zombie for ages. Made it home mid-afternoon and got about an hour's kip before getting up again to go and see American Head Charge at the Mean Fiddler. More drinking, moshing and singing/screaming to the point where I nearly lost my voice.
I am now at work and I can hardly speak, think or even stay awake. I have some strepsils and some Pro Plus. Wish me luck. Arggh.

actually, i dont know what you are talking about because i spend most of my time sitting at home wishing i had something fun to do and wishing i had new tunes to listen too, but i'm lazy--and overworked until summer due to work and school and what not. maybe i will check some stuff out so i dont feel so naive next time you mention something to me.
i saw system of a down (actually one tickets off the radio for signing chop suey on the air--embarrassing ) a while back. i got knocked out in the middle of the show. i was in the pit desparately trying to get out (i tend to get too beaten up in there, and i'm too small to protect myself sometimes), so when a song would stop, id push to the edge, but then another would start up and i'd be back in the middle before i knew it. anyway, during one of the song breaks, i turned around to push myself back to the edge again, and all i saw was a foot flying right at my face. next thing i know some dude had me in his arms and was carrying my to the door of the venue to allow some fresh air in my lung. turns out a crowd surfer kicked my in the forehead. ouch! it was a lot of fun
