The Clone Wars cartoons rock. For those not yet initiated, you can download them from http://www.pcpages.com/1010101/ although unless you've got broadband it may take a while...
Been musing over the value of the Internet and it's role in my lifestyle. It's kinda ironic that it opens so many opportunities in some ways, and yet limits them terribly in others. It's easy to forget that when you're posting all people see are words, and not you, the one really doing the communicating. I'm a member of a lot of different lists and boards, and I've lost count of the number of times I've made gaffes, killed threads, weirded people etc. just by trying to be myself but inadvertently making the reverse impression. I sometimes find myself hesitating over a 'send' or 'submit' button although it's impossible really to second-guess how other people interpret some of the things you type. The danger comes when you find yourself not being yourself in an effort to illustrate what you're really all about. And being truthful can be brutal, and it's not always the best policy. It's easy to say it's not really important, but when you interact with people more through the Internet than in any other media, that's clearly not true. *shrugs* Does this make sense to anyone else except me?
Anyway, enough of that. The bank holiday weekend looms. Thank god. I will be mostly in hermit mode in an attempt to save money and get some important stuff done. Hope everyone enjoys Sean tomorrow - I may well catch it myself at the UGC at some point over the weekend. And there's still those French Connection DVDs waiting too...
