The highlight of this weekend was a swashbuckling-themed part at a friend's place for his birthday - we put a whole bunch of films on and generally arsed about. I impressed everyone with my DVD of the remake of the Count of Monte Cristo, plus there was Princess Bride, Pirates and A Knight's Tale. Several beers and two bottles of wine later I crashed on the sofa. Although I was bummed out to miss another SGUK meet, it proved to be a worthy alternative.
In other news my poor little hamster has kidney problems. I rushed him to the vet hospital after I found blood on his nether regions, and they reckon he's got little stones or crystals or summat in his bladder. I've ajdusted his diet to fresh fruit & veg only, and I have to feed him antobiotic goo with a little syringe. The good news is that it seems to have cleared up already and he's still his normal cheery escape-orientated self.
After shelling out on the busted PC and the poorly hamster and very skint indeed. Plus feeling more and more despondent about the whole job situation. Nevertheless I should still be coming out to play this coming Saturday - hopefully see many of you there?
