Well Valentines day passed and thankfully I can safely say that I wasn't that bothered. Not that I don't realise that it's a commercial westernised sham anyway, but I can now say that a) I am now safely over the 3.5 year relationship that ended about this time last year, and b) I have also safely extricated myself from a more recent (and possibly mistaken) fling with nary a scratch nor a teary eye. Which is nice.

My time it getting nicely freed up so I can get down to some serious writing. I've already started work on a couple of pieces for practice by hand on the tube. Next phase is to shift my computer desk upstairs so I can spend an hour or two each night typing in peace (i.e. away from my housemate and his usual TV/Playstation action).
