So what's been going on in my world lately? I'm sure you're all just *dying* to know. Not. tongue

Umm. Well. Since last time I've mostly been working, and otherwise vegetating due to random headache attacks. This is a new thing for me and it's all rather unnerving. Or it was, as they seem to have abated of their own accord without me ever knowing why they were happening in the first place. It was particularly crap as half the time I was being woken up in the middle of the night as one had come on while I was asleep. The GP looked me over and said I was fine. The optician said my eyes were the same as before and hence also fine. The GP then said it could be something called 'cluster headaches' which are a newly documented phenomenon and something most common in men at my age. Apparently they come and go at random in cluster (hence the name) and if they get really bad you have to take steroids or something to make them bearable. I thought they'd stopped completely but I had a mild one today so I guess it'll be back to the GP and maybe the neurologist shortly. Apprently it can't be anything life-threatening or I'd be struck down with dizziness and nausea too. Hrm. whatever

Brighter news is that I'm booked up for trips to Swansea, Wakefield, Gothenburg (Sweden) and Reykjavik (Iceland) over the next six months. Plus I've just talked myself into a) GMing RPGs for two days at Game07 in Manchester at the end of the month, and b) helping Hasbro sell toys at Star Wars Celebration Europe next month. I'm also trying to blag my way into GenCon UK in August for free by helping somebody do something to do with gaming. I think I must be out-geeking the population for several miles in every direction. I guess everyone has to be good at something, right..? tongue

Of course there was the SGUK meet in London a couple of weeks back. Lovely to catch up with old faces and meet some new ones. I'd say its a shame they don't happen more regularly these days, but it's probably more accurate to say that they've been happening but I've just been missing them due to a variety of carefully crafted excuses... *sighs*

If you're still with me then you may interested to note I went to see 28 Weeks Later (visceral, brutal and a more-than-worthy sequel to 28 Days Later) and Pirates 3 (simply fab, another trilogy I can be proud to namecheck and own on DVD when it comes out at Xmas). Next up will be Transformers (probably rubbish) and Die Hard 4 (oh god I hope it's not rubbish) biggrin

And to close I guess I should mention that its my birthday at the end of the week. Another bloody year older and still no clue quite where things are going or what life has in store for me. Tsk. On the offchance that any of you might want to help me comiserate I'm gathering a few friends on Friday night (1st June) for a beverage or six at a quaint old pub called the Mayflower on the south bank (not far from Rotherhithe tube, PM if you're interested and want more details). ARRR!!!

Stay cool everyone! wink

Yup, real uniform! I even have a rifle on my sleeve now cause I'm a freakin' marksman baby, yeah! Good to be back in touch with you. I've been reminiscing. It's not all pretty but I feel warm and fuzzy about the old days. How you doing?
