Back from the wedding, made it there and back in one piece and had a blast. Actually feel surprisingly good given the ridiculously hot weather, 12 hours straight of solid drinking, no sleep, and also another 6 hours of tedious DIY action when I got back yesterday.

Anyway, my mates have tied the knot, for better or for worse. Things went pretty smoothly except that their chosen vicar got stuck on the M25, so they had to go with the local guy, who waffled a bit and went a bit traditional and evangelical on them.

Good to see a whole bunch of people I haven't seen a while though. Forgot just what serious drunkards some of them are, so plenty of comedy value and entertainment there. Managed to get pretty hammered myself despite my limited budget thanks to a free bar and then people's overwhelming generosity.

No luck with those of a female persuasion though. The adage about weddings being the best place to meet people is certainly not holding true this year for me. Got sat next to a girl during the meal who really wasn't my type, and who wouldn't stop yabbering on about any old crap. Although there were some other interesting people there. everyone seems happily hooked up already, tsk.

Now back to work, even though I'd rather be anywhere else given how hot it's shaping up to be today. Not sure if I can stay awake either given how dull my job is. Oh well, wish me luck...
