I really, really wanted to like Underworld: Evolution. I was one of the few that actually liked the first one (and bought the comic). Alas, although it starts well, it drags the ass out of what's left of the first film's plot until there's nothing left, and then devolves into a CG-laden slugfest. And although there's supposed to be a third film, f*** knows what it'll be about as they didn't set anything up for it. It's like the Matrix all over again... *sigh*
A Cock and Bull Story was actually much more rewarding in comparison. A film, then a film about the making of the film, all fo which kind of descends into chaos. Which is (apparently) rather in the spirit of the book, if not the letter. Steve Coogan makes an interesting (and not necessarily pleasant) charicature of himself. It's pretty funny, and very interesting. Well worth checking out.
In other news here art work I got bogged down with firefighting customers and biting my nails due to a major systems failure, which turned out (after a lot of wringing of hands) to be caused by a simply typo made by one of my bosses in a config file. Grr whyioudda... *raises fists*
Otherwise things are fairly quiet, with me alternating between EVE Online, Alias season 3 and writing up notes for some RPG scenarios I'm supposed to be running at the end of Febuary.
Next up is a trip to darkest Norwich to catch up with an old university friend. She's the first of us to turn 30 this year. While it will be lovely to catch up with everyone I fear she's chosen a pretty nasty/trendy/cheesy club for us all to go to... *shudder*
