So I just flew in to New York yesterday...
Mogwa flew out to visit me about ten or so days ago, and we arrived back safe and sound and have been sleeping since we arrived.

Buenos Aires was amazing, the people were wonderful, and the pace of life was perfect. I have never in all of my life been treated with so much respect.

In terms of the art, everything went really well (in the end). The project was riddled with difficult bumps in the road, but it was completed in the end. I left the city with one publication finished (in an art journal), and another on the way (in the BA version of Art Forum). We are having a show in December for two months, then in Germany, Ljubiana, possibly Britian, and a few locations in the US. I will update in the Artists group about what publications and shows as the information becomes availiable...

For those of you who are artists though, you must look into South America. The gallery spaces that are available for you to show your work are amazingly beautiful, and plentiful!.

The weeks are all still kind of blurry for me as we speak. I will try and think of more to write and post some photo's in the coming weeks. Here are some muddled thoughts though:

It's true the city is unsafe if you wear a flag on your head that says "Mug Me" (just like any city), but if you know how to survive any US city then Buenos AIres is just as easy.

Also, check your bills if you ever go, counterfit money is a real problem (one of my peers lost about 150 pesos to counterfit bills).

The stencil scene rocks in BA, if you like stencils go to this city. At first the street art looks lame but the deeper into the city you get, the more surprised you will become.!!!

Hmmm...the reasons for my reluctance to visit the fam is material for a PM. I'll tell you about it later.

I've already started saving up for SGC, so plan on hanging out with me then, eh? I'm still working on monochromatic relief prints. Fairly boring in regards to technique.

I saw a show of amazing Japanese woodcuts, and almost all of them were posthumous editions. It made me sad and conflicted. They were great pieces and I was happy to have the opportunity to see them, but the prints were there because of what I consider to be a very dishonest methods. I'm going to burn all my blocks before I die so charlatans like that can't go and further the edition once I'm no longer around.
