Figure it's time I update this.
Anyone notice that everyone's comments are like way down as a resulf of this new set up???
So Mogwa and I spent the weekend with Thursday, we'll atleast Saturday night. She flew out to teh city, and we met up with her in Saint Marks place for a night of drunken fun through the streets of NYC.
I think she liked it, and I think that we may be able to get her to move out here... Ended up watching the two sexiest women I know dancing together in an old converted salon turned bar while drinking my favorite beer, and having a great conversation with a recently moved to NY friend. Great night... We ended up putting her on a train at 4 in the morning, then getting lost and walking the wrong direction when trying to find our friends apartment. AHHH NY.
Everyone that reads this should go check out Roethke's link to her recent work. Out of all the artists I have met on this page I would say that she is the most active in pursuing her career. We should all support her, even if it's just saying we dig her stuff.
So I'm off to work in Buenos Aires in like two weeks. I'm really nervous but supper excited. Our apartment got upgraded to a four star hotel for some reason, and it looks like we'll be living in style while we're there. I can't believe that I have this chance to make work in another country like this. Fucking nuts... I also found out that I'm gonna be in like three museums down there, one is the equaevalient of the MOMA in NYC.
Everyone has to promise to write Mogwa while I'm gone though. She'll be down for my opening, and then a week after that, but we'll be apart for a while, and this town is kind of small, so don't forget to pop in and say hey to her from time to time.
In other news I have decided that nothing will ever change politicaly in this country as long as it is the Democratic party, and their liberal supporters that are trying to do so... (who would have guessed eh?) To tell you the truth I am getting kind of sick of politics, and political action. My art seems to hit people harder, and more effective then my protests, and I don't walk away covered in pepper spray. I've lost faith in this nation as a whole, I know wondeful people here, but I really don't think our sittuation will ever change until we hit rock fucking bottom. And, to tell you the truth that wont happen by our hand, that will happen due to the actions of the State.
I'll tell you one thing though, the fact that an apartment in Manhattan costs about 3 grand is a sign of where this nation is heading. How can we have an entire urban island that in twenty years no one will be able to afford to live on except the rich?

But then again, I have little choice but to believe in the system, since I have just recently joined its ranks.
Have a great trip to Buenos Aires, and keep up the great artwork. I promise to try to keep in touch with mogwa in your absence.
Good luck in Buenos Aires, my friend. I'm glad y'all and Thursday had such a good time.
