Did you know that I am a captivating, intoxicating individual? That birds suddenly appear around me, and there is a chorus of angels everywhere I go?
I'm gonna go tell my class tommorrow how fucking cool I am !!!!!!
Teaching is going well, like Litho said I did really start to like this class. They are great kids, and all my doubts have been dispelled by their dedication to learning. They may not be the best artists, but their dedication to learning the process is really really amazing! Plus there are only thirteen of them, and so I have really gotten to know them a lot. One thing that is weird though is that there is only ONE guy in the entire class. Talk about a gender difference...
Spent last night at my friends studio on the Hudson. For those of you that haven't known me long it's an old 18th century ship masters mansion that has spent the last two hundred years being converted into various different things. Not it's a run down storage unit for an old man that collected industrial left overs (a sculptor's dream), and a silk screen studio. Spent the afternoon trying to do woodcuts with a twelve gauge shot gun (it kind of worked, we'll see how it prints), and the night printing until 4:30 in the morning. Woke up to a sunny day and drove to school to teach.
I could get use to this.
