There are these days where I still feel the magic of the world. Sometimes it's the music, sometimes not, sometime's it's just the world around me that touches me deeply. Either way there are these days that I feel the world's beauty, it's magic, it's enormity, and it overwhelms me, sends tingles down my spine.
I know this feeling i have is what religion was based off of in the early days. I know it is what religion exploits today. I know it is sought after by all of us when we rise each morning to embrace the day. It is a rare event that one can feel magic without the use of external sources.
Does this mean as a culture we are lost?
I think everyone should move once every ten years. Get up, just leave. Uproot yourself. Don't move across the street, but to another world. Use this world to re-enforce the wonder you had about the world when you were younger.
Focus, breath, remember...
Remember how your skin would tingle when it got cold out? Remember how you felt when you saw your first sky scrapper? At sixteen when you did your first drug? When you were two and you heard your first song? Like herion, you chase these feelings everyday, and you don't even realise it. WE all chase these feelings everyday. An entire generation addicted to the concept of living a life that we traded in for cheap tricks, and flashy imagery. Everytime we ink ourselves, we pierce ourselves, we chug a beer, we smoke a bowl, we shoot up, we don't eat, we eat, we watch, we listen, we fuck, everytime we're just trying to recreate that feeling we had once long ago....
...that feeling of wonder...
...that complete lack of boredom...
...the feeling of freedom
...well, I say we fucking stop "looking for it", let's make it!!!!! I've found it right now, this second, of this day, at this moment in my life, I feel that wonder again, I just have to remember what I did to get here, so that I never forget that life CAN be more then the meaningless boundaries we self impose on ourselves! We can be our own futures.
