I woke up today with that feeling, I left last night the same way...
Haven't felt this in a long time, but one thing is for sure, I have to get off this crazy fucking train before it goes down in a blaze. My glasses aren't rose collored, they're shit stained and see only sadness, lonelieness, and selfishness in almost everyone they gaze upon. People...

The coldest day I have ever lived through was in December of my 5th grade year. I lived in the Red Dessert of Wyoming, where every year people froze to death in their cars on the side of the highway, and semi's flipped over leaving twisted parodies of themselves scattered around the state in all directions. Anyway, cold was life, and really cold was a...

I'm glad you're sticking around.
And I'm excited about the new group! I'll send the group request in a few days.
My show last night went so well... I was very pleased. I'll talk about it in my journal when I update, but I just wanted to let you know since you are interested in such things.

No, but it's dragging me down today for sure.
Rad! Congrats!
In the last month, two of the shows were craft shows, where I applied and paid for a booth. One was a fine arts show that I was invited to do. Over the summer, my shows were all invite except in April I had my school's senior show. There's a mix of work in the art (as in not craft) shows. Most of it is fairly contemporary, but mine is always "the crazy piece," if you will.

Wow,
this last week has turned into a blur of nothingness. I'm done with the critiques, they went well. I'm getting a lot of good feedback, and we had a curator come look at our work today. I have yet to ask my prof if he said anything about my instillation, but I will tommorow.
I think i figured it out and it was something...

I have my first critique today at 3:30, then tommorow I have to lead a critique for a class I am both teaching, and taking (so my peers are also my students, and I show work alongside them so that I can get credit too, it's wierd). This critique will roll over until Thursday, and so I will have to do it...

Well it looks like at this point your all done. I hope they all went well for you.......let me know
The show was fantanstic. Nothing like some rockin live music. I definately donated a little of what is left of my hearing to the cause that night.
Did you ever go to the WOWghettoHall? I am sure you did........and DUDE, fuck that place. It holds like 30 people and smells like my elementary library and WHEN you get thirsty due to the fact the air quality is shit.....you have to climb into the 1000 year old drinking fountain just to get some water! Shit! I don't fucking care about some nastalgic value bullshit, they need to tear that place down and start over. And hey, how about more than 2 bathroom stalls for an idea? hahahahaaa.
Hope your good, kid.

yay!!!!! done with critiques...let's drink a beer to that. I'm so proud of you.

Wow,
We watched this movie last night that I am going to suggest to everyone on my friends list. It's called "The Ice Storm". It was made in 1997 and didn't get much press that I know of. If I remember right it was either written by the same guy that did American Psycho, or directed by the same director (I know there's a major...

I've heard great things about that movie. I'll have to get it one of these days.
You know, my journal entry is the first even remotely creative thing I've written in a few years. It just sort of came out when I sat down to complain about things. Felt sooooo good. I need to write more. Well, more for me; I write plenty for school.
I'd be happy to share my writing, though, as soon as there's more of it.
Thank you for the compliments. They really meant something to me.

Okay, about that paper I'm writing. I find the topic I chose to be insanely interesting, bu at the same time I'm just like, damn, this is gonna be A LOT of work. shit. I wouldn't have chosen it if I didn't think it was interesting or worth investigating. but damn. Why did I really have to take it upon myself? I'm just askin for it, I tells ya.
Interesting tidbit about Ghandi: Did you know that he severely beated his wife? For such an advocate against violence, he was NOT the model husband. by any means. how weird is that.
And yes, what you wrote did make sense. heh.
I'm an okay speller, but I'm such a prig that I look up the correct spelling of words all the time. It's a self-conscious English major thing I suppose. I dunno.
I vaaaaaguely remember The Ice Storm, but, not really. heh. It must had been directed by the same person as American Psycho cuz the writer of American Psycho (the book, anyway) is Bret(t) Easton Ellis and I'm fairly certain he didn't write anything called The Ice Storm.
blar blar blar, peace out, suckah.

I love people and their absolutes. They are always so easy to find, hiding under the beds of every person you meet, there it is, a little black and white absolute. some people have two, or three, or four, some one.
Bush must have to put his bed on risers because he has so many.
My favorite though are the hypocritical absolutes. This rare form...

It took 18 days for cable tv to cancel my service and now I'm going through the same thing with AOL, then after a journal post SG lost my comments. I'm really enjoying how all this new tecnology is working.
LUCK!

lastpenguin:
I meant it as sort of a little 'fun fact'. something you might be interested to know (if you didn't already).
I know that you didn't say there should be no absolutes, and i wasn't trying to imply that you were. sorry if i confused you.

What a crazy night.
I think I could grow to like this state, minus how much money we seem to spend here....
We left the valley around 4:30 and rolled into the city late night for an adventure and an opening in Brooklyn. What a city, what a fun time. We explored the east village for a while and met some great people, then it...

I've been meaning to get back on here. and to update my stuff, and talk to my friends. Apparently being blue collar has it's downsides(?!?). Yah, who would have figured. I'm having fun thought. Starting to get more involved with the Catholic Workers Movement, which is exactly up my alley. Another tattoo in a few days, all is well.
Hope all is well for you, as well. As the national lampoon once pointed out "life is short, and then you die." Live as you want to live today, there's always another tommorow.

Ever heard of noaa? They are the national weather service. We've been on their page a lot lately since this whole area is threatening to flood.
We have concluded something though:
GLOBAL WARMING DOES NOT EXIST!!!!!!!
Go back to the mall and continue to consume. All worries about an increase in the earths temperature should be dismissed as a liberal conspiracy! Your gasoline/hair spray/plastics...

So I don't get it. Do these people SERIOUSLY think it doesn't exist or they do know but don't want to admit it? Seriously.....what is to gain by not admiting it? Are they secretly working on fixing it, no, that can't be it. They just don't care? They are lying to themselves? I don't get it.

So ringleader tagged me and now I'm it. Rules: Post 20 interesting facts about yourself. Tag 5 people; they have to post 20 interesting facts about themselves and tag another five people.. I have to say that I don't normally do this kind of stuff on here, but I like where this one is going, since it seems sincere, so I will participate.

How are things? I have become my program in the last two weeks and am losing touch with the internet. It makes me happy and sad at the same time.
School has been good for me though. Health, happyness, and creativity wise.
I read a few of your journals back and wish we could have been friends in eugene. You seem like an interesting (in a good way) person to know.

yea, it's been going all weekend. in ct and in philly
so when exactly should one start wondering about Multiple Personality Disorder?
Is there a time frame for this kind of thing???
is it if you keep finding yourself going from "heresyA" to "heresyB" twice, three times, four times, a week, then you should be worried?
I mean what exactly constitutes "MPD", is it the outside world looking at me, and then deciding that I'm fucked...
