I return. Reasons, in no particular order:

- Membership now costs less.
- Brad Warner, who's been important to me for a little while now (I first read his book about a year and a half ago) has started doing a weekly column here, and I want to observe the effect.
- I've stopped working as a bicycle messenger and returned to high school to...

The more interesting my life gets, the less I feel compelled to talk about it on the internet.

Same here.

Went to a good benefit party over the weekend and met a lot of friendly people. Getting used to my new bike. Getting better at my job. I normally try to avoid comparing the present to the past, but when I indulge in it now I find that the present compares favourably.

Less than four weeks as a courier and I've already had my first accident on the job. A car that had previously been stationary decided to make a sudden U-turn from the rightmost lane of a four-lane street while I was passing it in the lane to left. I went flying over the hood and landed without sustaining more than a few bruises (as far...

OUCH. Drivers in this city are insane sometimes.

Was offered a spot in a car headed for the London Velodrome tomorrow, going to get on a fixed-gear bike for the first time and embarrass myself in front of a bunch of other Toronto couriers.

Nothing much to report. I'm enjoying work just as much as I expected I would. I'm doing some research in preparation for purchasing a new bike. I went to see an orthodontic surgeon this week on the advice of my orthodontist, and now I've got to decide how much I like my jaw the way it is.

How old were you when you first let a man make love to you? Made love I was 20....actually....(but I slept with people before that just not made love)

Next, who was he? My boyfriend who is now my ex frown

Next, how did you feel at the time? Amazing like i was on top of the world and everything was just like the movies

Next, how did you feel afterward? I felt like there was nothing that could ever break that bond on feeling between us. I felt as tho I was loved every part of my body had a tingle in it

What did you feel, what did you think, were you pleased, frightened, ecstatic, disgusted? Frightened because I had never felt that before and I didn't know what to make of it

What did he say, what words did you speak, that's what I want to know, now, tell me, now, now, all of it, now, yes! I remember us saying I love you...and laying there with his head on my chest and me rubbing my hands through his hair ....

I couldn't stay in toronto not yet anyways too many memories and I am trying to be able to come back everyonce and awhile until I heal...

I should really be in bed already, I'm going to leave myself with less than six hours of sleep before the coming workday.

My first full day of solo work seemed to go reasonably well. The dispatcher kept me busy most of the time but ensured that I was normally only handling two or three items concurrently, and never more than four. I made a...

Basically the zine is a summary of my teenage years. It feels so weird that tomorrow is the last day of them...

Today went alright. The first few hours were training, which meant following another courier around and trying to make sure I understood everything he was doing. After that I was given a radio and sent to work on my own at a very low intensity. I was slow due to poor navigation and had to ask the dispatcher to repeat himself several times, but as...

Get a detailed street atlas if you don't have one already. One of those little books people keep in their cars works really well.

I appear to have found a job. Tomorrow is training, which presumably means following another courier around and watching what s/he does. If that goes okay maybe I'll make it official and fill out the "occupation" space in my profile.

A few hours ago I had my most dangerous bicycling accident so far: Was riding west on Danforth and got clobbered when a minivan next to me made a right turn. The driver was very apologetic and I let her go on her way when it appeared that no harm had been done; I managed not to notice until I tried to set off for...

migraines are absolutely awful. i was lucky enough to wake up with another one this morning, worse than yesterdays, which i thought would be impossible to top.
and yes scarlett is lovely. i'm smart. and its a viscious cycle. you should just fine someone equally as lovely to replace her with. for me, its all about milla jovovich. no idea why, she's just awesome. especially when she's kicking some zombie ass.
and because then i wouldn't sleep until 3 everyday and stay up until 4. i claim to operating in a different time zone though, so its fine...yes.

I kind of freak out if there aren't lots and lots of people I've never met before around. I think it's because Guelph was so damn awful when I was living there. Eh. I'm slowly working my brian around the idea of moving there, so it's obviously less of a problem than I thought.
