Things are coming along down on the old homestead. I have Colbert's pen almost finished, just have to install the gate. I have the lid to my bee hive built and now all I need to do is paint it and wait for my hive gloves to arrive. New trees are planted and overall the orchard and garden is looking very happy. Gophers are of course reaking their share of havoc but thats just an occupational hazard I suppose. I keep setting traps and I hope to keep their numbers under control.
On the fitness front things are going well. I am definitly showing improvement in my form and my physique. I can honestly say I have not looked this good in years. This may even be the best and healthiest that I have ever been. I can hardly wait for my CST cert in August.
On the educational front I have began an experiment. I am reading the Harvard Classics collection 15 minutes a day every day as perscribed by its creator. The intent of this anthology was to grant the reader the basics of a complete liberal education. I will read it and see what happens. I am also beginning to use Rosetta Stone. The first language I am tackling is spanish. It seems the most useful language for where I live and I do not think very many things on this Earth would make my grandmother happier than if one of her grandchildren spoke spanish to her.
As this is something of an educational experiment and because I hope that putting my effort into the public eye will keep me motivated I have decided to blog my progress. http://brianseducationexperiment.wordpress.com/ please feel free to comment, keep up, nag me when I get off track and see where this takes me.
