3 days in a row i had talks with 3 seperate friends about how we've all been thinking about quitting this fucking country if Bush gets reelected. It was a strange moment when I realized we could sell this house and have enough for a house in Costa Rica.
But then I thought, if we leave, we can't just come back when things are better. Best to stay and fight I think. I'd hate to abandon everybody who is sticking it out trying to change things then return and be all "hey! nice work!" if things did change.
It's so strange that so many people are looking into jumping ship all at once.
One friend was even saying how they had considered Canada, but it wasn't far enough away and he wouldn't really feel safe being so close to the U.S. And this friend is no knucklehead, he's been around.
