thanks for the notes friends. some good news, she'll have the type of dialysis she can do at home and will be able to eat more types of food than we thought. and she's in high spirits. we're going to have a surprise party for her when she's home and up for it.
anybody see that whopping 1% our man kucinich got in the iowa caucauses?!?!?! woooo! 38 more percentage points and he would have won!
last night we watched a thing on martin luther king jr. that guy was a fighter the likes of which i aspire to. there was a part on this march he held in cicero illinois outside of chicago. people where throwing bricks at him (one hit him in the head) and yelling the worst things you can imagine. but he knew it was going to happen and took his people and marched anyway. it's hard to imaging the bravery that takes. just watching all these people who want to rip his head off, including the cops all around him all the time. damn.

I can't wait...
He didn't go to jail, no, but this happened in CT, where they have a 2nd degree assault charge that's actually a felony. So, 3 years probation, but a felony conviction that, like my D-shaped head, will follow him for the rest of his life.
