Wife is taking the girls to scout camp this weekend, leaving me with the boy. But I have three performances this weekend, so my MiL is going to be doing the watching for me, at least overnight. I'll come by and get him sometime on Saturday, and we'll go out and do some more father son bonding.

Survived opening night. Most of the cast managed to rise up to mediocre.

One down, seven more to go.

Started Hell Week. Spent the whole rehearsal last night moving furniture.

If we're lucky, we will have a chance to run the whole show before we open.

Holy shit. I got asked to join the Elgin Opera. No audition needed, based on the strength of my performance in Pirates.

I'm now a professional.

So a couple of big tasks for me for the long weekend. I had to clean up the pile of books and comics that were sitting by my bed, take a bunch of crap up into the attic, and throw out a bunch of crap in my attic, and go through my junk mail pile and shred and pitch and sort all of that crap....

I have returned from the Dells. Mostly intact. Had a big-ass nasty cold, so water slides were not exactly at the top of my fun activities list. But I drug my ass around after my kids, and made sure that they had a great time. Man, that was crazy expensive once all was said and done. Almost Disney expensive...
