She Has Gone Away by Michael S. Walker (copyright 2021)
She has gone away
Ascended last night into
Porphyritic clouds...
Streets we walked down
Are smaller now
And denuded of leaves.
There are
Weeds of words
In her garden
A rust of words
In her fountain.
I am surrounded by things
She left behind
A scrunchy
Her Machiavelli
A frilly sock...
These things have kidnapped me
And won't let me leave the house.
She has gone away for good
Walked into the walls of
Pornographic films
And she sends me letters trying to explain
Disguised as credit card offers
And electric bills...

I loved this poem, it has a lot of feeling for a time that maybe it won't come back ...
