So soon I am going to the doctor to get my Thyroid checked, because weight loss, no matter what I do, is nearly impossible for me...and I have been thinking about reasons why losing weight is important to me...
and of course the obvious ones are there. Longer life, better dad for when I have kids, less physical pain etc etc...
but three BIG ones pop into my head.
1. Being able to buy a damn pair of pants without having to search 3 different stores for a pair of size 44 Wrangler Jeans. You'd think...looking at their customer base, Walmart would realize FAT GUYS SHOP THERE...but nope. 2XL shirts and stopping at size 40...maybe 42. Oh sure, you can find sizes larger, but it jumps from 42 to 48+...not helpful.
2. I can wear shirts from my favorite bands. TMBG has my favorite snowman hoody for sale. What size does it stop at? 2XL. I take at least a 3XL...
Same with Gaslight Anthem and Reel Big Fish. Apparently these guys don't realize that fat people like their music too...
3. The damn extra $2.00 charge on a 3XL shirt.
It adds up.
So yeah...other reasons to lose weight.
-Me
I swear this is one of the most powerful music videos I have ever seen.
My last day at Grandma's when I scavenged, I found an old "all-in-one" record player and speaker...and if it still works, I am totally buying some Gaslight Anthem on vinyl to rock out to in my garage/work shop.
I can imagine their music would sound amazing on vinyl.
