Jeez, my life really seems to of been taken up a couple of notches over the last couple of weeks. Feel like I don't even have time to shit. (I do).
I've had a trial shift at my new job. It went really well. It's for a bar job in my local pub/restaurant. I know working in a pub isn't to everyone's taste but I think it suits me. Cos my drawing is such a solitary passion its nice to have a sociable job. It's a good crowd in there. Plus I get to work with young people which is nice. My current job I'm working with all oldies pretty much.
Been drinking a lot lately too. For the first time in my life I'm actually thinking I might need to cut it back. The last few weeks I've been in the pub Friday, Saturday, Sunday and probably once or twice in the week. What will be nice with the bar job though is that I'll basically get paid to do that. Instead of spending money getting trashed. I never even used to drink.
Ronin Dogs is still coming along nicely:
It's getting close to the end now. It feels weird. Feels like I've been working on this book ages, but also it feels like it's gone really quick too. I'm having so much fun doing it right now. Book 3 is gonna be so bad-ass!
I've picked up my graphics tablet again after years of using a mouse. I'd bought it years ago but couldn't get used to it. I always just thought the mouse was fine. Then a couple of artist friends of mine encouraged me to try it again. So, I did and for some reason something just clicked this time around. I can't believe how I got on with just a mouse. It's quicker, more fun and I can get a lot more detail in. Mega!
So, for the next few weeks I'll be working 2 jobs and finishing Ronny Dogs. Maybe one of these days I'll fit in a holiday or something.
This is Doug TanNapel:
His comics are really amazing and here he is discussing the process he uses when creating them. Great stuff. Really inspiring.
Okay, I'm off now. I picked up Red dead redemption: Undead nightmare today. Time to give it a go.
