Hi,
Had a totally awesome weekend at the weekend. I shall explain in this here blog why. It was kinda interesting. Well maybe it wasn't but I'm going to natter about it anyway.
Went to London to see a gig. Now I may not look it (what with my cardigans an' curly hair an' shit) but I'm a bit of a Metal head. Good heavy rock will always be a passion of mine. I love all types of music, but Metal will always be my first love. I've been to a fair few metal gigs in my time but the gig I went to on Saturday was..................a Take That gig. Yes, yes I did say Take That.
The thing that was weird was how much I enjoyed it. I'm sure a lot of my enjoyment came from the awesome company I was with but still the show itself was epic. I knew it would be fun, but it was much more impressive than I thought. Just as cheesey as I though it would be though.
The thing I found funny was the contrast in the crowd betwen a Take That gig and a Metal gig. At a Metal gig most of the crowd look like pretty scary fellows. Big hairy men with tattoos and hair and faces and hair. But Metal fans are usually the sweetest people you could meet. If you're in a mosh pit and you fall over some big yeti-man will always pick you up and ask if you're ok. At least in my experience anyway.
At a Take That concert the crowd was a little..............'different'. It was full of fat middle aged women who didn't seem to have any sort of gig ettitqete (I know not how to spell this word). They were really grumpy and pushy. At gigs you're gonna have people get in your space. It's something you expect and put up with. It can't be helped but a lot of these women at Take That didn't seem to realise this and they were getting all moody because they were up close and sweaty with other folks. It was kinda weird and a lil bit scarey.
So, in conclusion. Metal fans = nice boys and girls at heart really. Take That fans = Scarey fat women getting drunk for the first time in years and getting a little bit aggressive in there big sweaty bras.
So, that was my weekend. Was fun and interesting. Hope yours was too.
Also, drawing is really really fun right now

It's like Chalk and Cheese.
I've always found it funny that, provided you know the rules, mosh pits are generally very friendly places and people look out for each other.
