So, I'm in "car buying" mode now...
I'm sick and tired of my truck, and I don't need it, so I want to get rid of it and get a more sensible car, like say, a sky blue 1972 Karmann Ghia Cabriolet? Ok, so that's quite a bit in the wrong direction on the sensible scale, but the price is amazing, and the body and top are in good shape.
So here's the thing. I can afford the car pretty easily, with a healthy budget for getting it in shape, but I can't afford this *and* another car without liquidating investments (not really an option), which means that I'd have to use this one as a daily driver for at least a little while.
Decisions decisions... Do I follow the reasonable path, and use the equity in my truck to buy a sensible, reliable car that will unfailingly get me from point A to point B? Or do I follow the "other" path, and buy a classic convertible. (or do I follow the far fainter third path, sell some stock, buy both, and rationalize it by calling the Ghia an "investment"?)

But what is the " thermal depolymerization bandwagon" may I ask?
So, what's the hold up? I want to see 400 horse power familly cars on the streets!
