So the fourth...
Those who know me know that I'm a huge fireworks buff. I love watching them, I love shooting them off, I love building them... Anything to do with fireworks, I enjoy.
A friend of mine owns an 8 story building near where I live, and every year throws a small fourth of july party on the roof of the building. Some beer, some food, good times, in the past we've lit off some small fireworks, and then we get to see every fireworks display in about a 30 mile radius. It's extremely fun.
So this year we decided to step things up a little bit. We placed an order for about a thousand dollars worth of fireworks with the intention of setting up a full display in his parking lot.
My cousin and I spent days on it, building racks, making quickmatch, fusing effects together...
Finally the fourth comes, and at about 6:30 we could be found setting up our display, with everything linked to a single fuse so all we had to do was light it and run.
Just as we were finishing the setup, and getting ready to cover the entire thing with a tarp so nobody would see it, a cop appears over my shoulder.
Luckily I wasn't arrested, and he didn't even confiscate our fireworks. I did, however, have to break down the show and load it back into my truck.
