NEWBIE ALERT NEWBIE ALERT: Even though I've been registered since March of this year I've only just got round to putting my profile up etc etc. Anyway I was going through my books and I always come back to this one "Granta - New Writing 1995" it featured a piece by a photographer called Douglas Brooker - LA Women. It chronicles his quest for models to photograph. This was the advert he placed in LA Reader. MODELS WANTED Photographer seeking unusual women for unusual project. Age unmportant. Looking for a certain walking surrealism, beyond punk, beyond fetishism, beyond faux retro, beyond standard-issue look in any category.
