We'll call it morbid curiosity.

I received a phone call that can best be described as unwanted. I want to ask around and see who gave out my number but I'm afraid of of who I may have to rethink trusting.
I suppose it's better to know.

Now I have a dilemma because I would never miss Lost but now i like Veronica Mars and...

Sometimes I get it but I don't think this will be one of those times.

I have to go home this weekend. I'm only looking forward to it a very small bit.

I can't shake the feeling that every time I've ever heard 'I love you' it's been a lie.

Does everyone feel this way? Everyone who isn't currently hearing those words regularly?

I don't feel that way (regarding your journal entry). There have been some lies, but there have also been some of the most amazing truths.

As far as your comment... er, um... I'm mixed. First, I've stayed up all at and after parties both without the use of drugs (meaning only alcohol), and completely sober. Unless you meant that comment sarcastically, that's just a bizarre and uninformed thing to say.

According to police reports, the only things found in the house were alcohol and some marijuana (no idea on how much). I don't really know Seattle at all, but from what I'm told the after-hours serves a dual-purpose - not only the post-event chillout/keep the party going, but also a place to kick back until the buses start running again.

People actually are talking to the police. The sad truth of this is that the shooter didn't know anyone in the electronic music scene. Didn't appear to have come with friends, didn't appear to have been to other events previously. The only theory that's starting to take any shape right now is that his original intentions were to have gone batshit insane at the party, taking out many many more people. But there was both visible security at the door, and there were metal detectors in play. So he waited and bided his time.

No girlfriends or local friends have surfaced - he was a loner pizza delivery dude, a transplant in a big city who didn't seem to connect to anyone. I'm concerned about the spray-painting, on the off chance it's connected to some nutjob movement to cause harm to the underground music/art scene, or to burners, or to any other group for that matter. I'm concerned that this guy may have hung out with other friends who are equally disturbed, and that they may be out there getting ready for their chance to wreak havoc.

I'm tired of waking up too early and going to bed too late.

I want a normal sleeping schedule again.
And fuck random drug tests.
And fuck having nowhere to park.

Everything will be pleasant again in a few day's time.
I'm looking forward to that so much.

This iste has been so slow for me lately.
It's almost more trouble than it's worth.

Anyway, I'm bored. I'm getting ready to travel again so that should be fun at least.
I got a bunch of sweet books for Christmas and I'm tearing through them.
Jon Stewart's hosting the Oscars. I guess I have to watch this year.

What are you talking about with the 826 stories? Forgiving if I discount Eggers celebrity, he remains in my psyche just the kid I ate lunch with and played soccer with in school...

i just realized there would be no new lost or veronica mars until next month.

this month should hurry and end.
schmidt:
I agree.....we need more lost....

How funny...you are fan of Eggers... I went to high school and college with him...it appears he's become a minor literary celeb de jour.....sort a cool.....

what else you got going on..?

The UPS guy waits until you leave the house, usually. And yes, I did change my name. But you must have as well, and I have no idea.

Going back a bit, I'm going to have to be cliche and say Michael Bluth. I'm a lot like him, except I think he's even more patient than me.
