so seriously thinking of spending the money on an on-line dating service (like Match.com). its been over 10 years with zero interest from anyone. I don't like bars or parties, and most of my friends are either not around my age, not in my area, or in a relationship. so it leaves me in a difficult situation.
plus the one person I have an interest in, she has already said she has no interest in part because I've been single for so long. basically told me I'm single because I've been single so long, so people think there is an issue with me. don't know....if people asked, I could tell them how I worked for 5 years in Res Life (where I lived in the building with the residents), then left for Grad School (where everyone was engaged, dating, or married) and then spent a few years trying to find a job. I get a full-time job in CPS, working an insane amount (for a 35 hour work week, its well over 60 hours a week of work) until I got into my current job, where I can relax and enjoy life. even got my own apartment and everything. so yeah, that would explain why I've been single so long.
but will anyone actually care? don't know.
sooo, back on topic....anyone here ever try those on-line dating services? and do they work? let me know. yeah, an SG dating app would be nice....but at 41 years old, how do I not come across as the creepy awkward old guy? since I'm a strong Introvert (quite strong), not having to be at the bar means I'm not dealing with everything going on around me, so I won't "overload" and have to shut down to keep my sanity. which is a good thing.
so let me know people out there....tell me your experience. tell me the horror stories. tell me other ideas you might have!
Thanks!
