so I think I now hate Safelite. here's why...
driving to a see a client and hear the crack. look, there's a ding in the windshield. one of those small cracks from a stone hitting the windshield.
get home, check my insurance...I go through Safelite and pay nothing.
car is left at home, so Safelite can come out and fix the windshield. I borrow my mom's Jeep. better this way then trying to find the car in the office parking lot (10 story building....'nuff said).
I get home....and get told the following...
the technician did the repair job and while putting his equipment away, the sun must have hit the windshield and heated it up, causing it to expand. he got done putting his equipment away and not only did the crack come back....but its BIGGER. I now need to replace the windshield, costing about $300.
so basically told that he was able to fix the windshield for less than 10 minutes before it got worse....because we all know how much a windshield expands when its not even 80 F out!
thankfully my sister took a before picture....get a good after picture and be ready to fire off a nice letter WITH pictures.
wonder what that will do for me.
and your thoughts....am I justified in hating Safelite now?
