so my weekend started 1 1/2 hours late today. we had construction at my job last night (digging up the floor for new sinks and a grease trap) and the hot foods bar was not covered (and as a result, had a nice layer of concrete dust on it).
so the store manager asked if I could stay and help clean it up some. sure....she's the store manager, is it smart to say "No" to her?
part way through...the Front-End Manager asks me if I was authorized to stay. hmm.....let me think on that one.
so after throwing out a good amount of containers and such....got everything cleaned up. imagine how much time and money would have been saved by covering everything up....or even better having the departments pull the containers from everything when they closed the night before!
